About Us

At Presidents for Kids, we believe history shouldn’t feel like homework. It should feel like an adventure—a cross between a time machine, a treasure hunt, and the best bedtime story ever told.

We’re here to bring U.S. presidential history to life for kids ages 5–10 through fun, screen-free content that sparks curiosity, encourages questions, and (shhh...) teaches a whole lot along the way.

The idea started with Dan Scudder, a history-loving dad who noticed something important: his kids didn’t connect with dusty textbooks or long lectures—but they loved wild stories, silly facts, and anything that felt like a discovery. So he created Presidents for Kids, an activity book series packed with bite-sized bios, goofy illustrations, activities, and trivia that make America’s leaders feel more like real people and less like statue-worthy strangers.

The “history” of Presidents for Kids

Each issue is designed to:

  • Introduce one president in a fun, approachable way
  • Celebrate history’s surprising, funny, and inspiring moments
  • Give kids a deeper understanding of leadership, character, and change
  • Offer parents and educators a screen-free tool for learning at home

Whether your child is just discovering who the president is or already quoting the Constitution at the dinner table, Presidents for Kids is here to fuel their love of history—and maybe even shape a future leader or two.

Thanks for joining us on the journey. There’s a whole country to explore—one president at a time.
